This is not so much a black and white situation when saying who the greatest blues guitar player ever was. BB King is well known and Stevie Ray Vaughn played an amazing role in bringing the blues to the main stream by blending with a rock style. How ever there are lesser known blues guitarists like Buddy Guy, Albert King and Muddy Waters who all did their part to push the blues along in history. The only way to answer this question is to spend some time listening to them. That’s what I’ve been doing and now long behold I’m addicted to the blues, taking blues guitar lessons myself once a week to help learn some of the styles of these great blues players.
