A GPS tracking system is a gadget that utilizes the Global Positioning System (GPS) to trail and locate a person or an object’s precise spot. A GPS tracking unit is connected to the person, or item that is being observed. The tracking unit broadcast data to a computer via satellite, radio or GPRS. This is completed in real time. It can also be use for animals!

Police authorities employ GPS for trained dogs. Wildlife researchers utilize GPS units for the animals they are researching: monitoring of the migration patterns, and locating their breeding area. These units are tiny that it can be entrenched on the hide or horn of the animal or in the legs of birds. The units can also be place in a collar or gluing it in the skin of animals. What’s good about these devices are they are water resistant, can withstand water and air pressures.
