The people in the UK who are in charge of mobile phone telecommunications are the Ofcam. They are the ones who say you must have an okay to take your phone number to another cell provider should you change. I found when I went to do it they would not tell me what it was over the phone. My provider said I must wait for them to mail it to me in writing and then I would have a certain amount of time to use it before it would expire or be of no use to me. It is a port authorisation code that they are mailing to me. And I have to just wait for it to come.
