My son asked us for investment advice recently. We suggested investing in land, and he was not interested in land investment. The reason he was not interested in land investment run the gamut. He felt it took t0o long to see a profit. Well, he invested heavily in the stock market, and he saw his stock portfolio dropped for the last two years. Now, he is sorry he did not diversify his portfolio and add land investments. I guess my son has learned the hard way. Anyway, he recently started investing in land, and he understands the return will take a long time. He is happy to wait long-term.
