I’ve been teaching my students how to write term papers. They’re only in the sixth grade so it’s all new to them. They’re just learning about citing your references and giving credit where it’s due. I think it’s too early to introduce them to the apa machines that exist on the Internet because they barely understand how to look things up on Google, much less enter a book’s ISBN. So, in the beginning, I just want them writing the basics down and to learn between their own work and giving credit to someone else’s work. They all the time in the world to learn the details.
